Terms of Service

As a Client you agree that by engaging Proofing It! to provide proofreading, editing or any other related services to you, you have read, understood and accepted the terms and conditions set out below:

1.  Service Guarantee
a.   Our service guarantee: If Proofing It! cannot provide a Client with a perfect
      result; the job is FREE.

2.  Privacy Policy
a.   All Client work is undertaken in the strictest confidence.

b.   Proofing It! respects Client privacy and therefore only information that is
      provided voluntarily will be collected and retained. This information will only
      be used for e-mailing updates about specific offers, special privileges and
      other items of interest. By accepting these Terms and Conditions of Service
      Clients agree to receiving periodic electronic communications from Proof It!
      but retain the right to cancel such communication at any time.

c.   Client details are required when engaging the services of Proofing It! and
      will be kept on a client database. Proofing It! undertakes never to sell or
      make available this client database to any marketing companies and takes
      all necessary precautions to prevent their computer systems from being
      hacked. However, should information be removed from their local computer
      system through being hacked, Proofing It! will not be held liable in any way
      for the loss of such information. Proofing It! will also not held liable at any
      time if any information is accessed through the computer system of the
      company hosting their website.

d.   After completion, Client project information will be kept in electronic
      format for a period of six months for reference purposes, after which time
      it will be destroyed unless the Client requests that it be retained.

3.  Pricing
a.   Prior to undertaking any Client work, where possible, Proofing It! will
      provide details on the expected fees, related expenses and payment
      arrangements.

b.   Proofing It! will charge all fees in the equivalent US dollars unless Clients are
      in New Zealand, in which case charges will be in New Zealand dollars.

c.   All charges are exclusive of New Zealand GST.

d.   All payments to Proofing It! are to be made by electronic transfer payment,
      PayPal, Visa or Mastercard.

4.  Liability
a.   All proofreading, editing and copy editing changes made by Proofing It! are
      merely suggestions and it is the Client’s final responsibility to accept or
      reject them.

b.   Proofing It! takes all due care to ensure accuracy and correctness of work,
      however, the final responsibility for accepting suggested changes rests
      with the Client.

c.   Proofing It! accepts no liability on any grounds for consequential damages
      or losses arising from any cause, including omission or negligence, to the
      extent that it is permitted by the laws of New Zealand.

5.  Applicable Laws
a.   The laws of New Zealand govern all work and the Courts of New Zealand
      shall have the sole and exclusive jurisdiction to hear and determine all
      disputes in connection with claims arising from work produced by Proofing
      It!.
